During the power failures of the early 90s as regular as Fidel’s out-of-the-country sojourns, Ryan climbs out of his bedroom window to the roof and sits there for hours looking at his early friends Draco, Hercules and the Big Bear, contemplating on bigger and distant things.
Now, the frantic 2000s, he heavily breaths inside a dingy cab going home as he looks out to the Manila sky for a temporary relief and sees no imaginary dragons and bears, just a pale light from a passing plane. Ryan sighs and continues contemplating on bigger and distant things.
